Fire Safety Training in Charlevoix
In Charlevoix, fire safety starts well before anyone reaches for an extinguisher. Canuck Health & Safety runs on-site fire safety training in Baie-Saint-Paul, La Malbaie, Clermont and Saint-Siméon, built for the region's hospitality crowd: hotels, inns, B&Bs, restaurants, Le Massif and Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu. We cover the theory (fire classes, picking the right extinguisher, evacuation, Class K in the kitchen) and then hands-on extinguisher use, so your staff knows exactly what to do before help arrives. Sessions run one-time or annually, whatever suits your operation. Our office then issues each trainee an attestation of attendance. To book a session, call 418-905-3396.

Frequently asked questions
Where does the training happen and how long does it take?
We come to you, anywhere in Charlevoix: Baie-Saint-Paul, La Malbaie, Clermont, Saint-Siméon and nearby. Each session pairs a classroom portion with real hands-on extinguisher practice, and the length depends on your team size and the type of property. For hotels and restaurants, we usually schedule outside peak service hours.
Does it cover kitchen staff and Class K fires?
Yes. For Charlevoix restaurants and hotel kitchens, we go over Class K grease fires, the right extinguisher to grab, and how it ties in with the suppression system over the cooking line. Staff also get hands-on practice on a controlled fire so the right response becomes second nature.
Is the training done at our location?
Yes. We come to your premises in Quebec City, Levis and the surrounding region. The hands-on portion is done on site, in a safe area arranged in advance.
