What is the difference between the monthly test and the annual test?
The monthly function test confirms each light and exit sign switches on under battery power when the main supply cuts out. The annual duration test runs the units on battery for the full period required by CAN/ULC-S524 to prove they last. Both are needed to stay compliant.
